Trend #1- Sustainable Clothing

Sustainable fashion is a movement and process of fostering change to fashion products and the fashion system towards greater ecological integrity and social justice. Sustainable fashion concerns more than just addressing fashion textiles or products.

Sustainable clothing has been Rising (46.5%) in the last year. It is experiencing Stability (1.6%) this month as compared to the previous month. With a Search Volume of 6.6K it is a trend to look up in the future because of its high growth speed.

What's Happened?

The public’s appetite for shopping ethically has grown over the years. Shopping for clothes has ecological effects that we are starting to consider, and consumers are beginning to understand that fast fashion and the day-to-day shopping decisions have a huge impact. A response to this is responsible consumption: put simply, it is a way to contribute positively toward a more sustainable living, and developments in this area means you can now shop ethically whilst maintaining your unique sense of style.

What's Next?

Several trends look to continue to rise in 2021 that come under the umbrella trend of Sustainable Clothing. They include: tag scrutiny, avoiding fashion fads, RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and actively avoiding sales and deals which may be connected to cheaper sourcing and distribution.

Trend #2 - Ergonomic Chair

Chairs that are sold as "ergonomic chairs" are designed to suit a range of people; however, there is no guarantee that they will suit any one person in particular. For example, a chair could be too high and the arm rests too far apart for a short, slim person.


Ergonomic Chairs have been Strongly Rising (177.1%) in the last year. It is experiencing Stability (3.5%) this month as compared to the previous month. With a Search Volume of 90.5K it is a trend to look up in the future because of its high growth speed.

What's Happened?

Working from home has become the new norm for many workers across the globe. This has caused a boom in creating home offices, but these setups don’t necessarily have comfort in mind. To prevent strain on your body, doctors recommend using ergonomic products, like an ergonomic chair to create a more comfortable workspace.

What's Next?


Development of the ‘workspace at home’ will continue to trend upwards, including specific furniture to help alleviate the physical downsides. In addition to this, a complete rethink of a home office setup will be a trend to watch from an interior design perspective, from simple tweaks to full design makeovers.

Trend #3 - Clubhouse

Clubhouse is an invitation-only audio-chat social networking app launched in 2020 by software developers Alpha Exploration Co. As of December 2020, it was valued at nearly $100 million.


Clubhouse has been Stable in the last year. It is experiencing Stability this month as compared to the previous month. With a Search Volume of 90.5K, it is a trend to look up in the future because of its high growth speed.

What's Happened?

Clubhouse has confirmed that it has raised a new Series B funding round at a $1 billion valuation led by Andrew Chen at a16z, as per The Information.

The invitation-only audio-chat social networking app that’s still in private beta and lets you create rooms where you can talk for hours on end, has been exciting users since it became very popular in the last few months.

What's Next?

This new round of funding is significant for the app that has already generated a lot of buzz. The next steps which will keep it as a forefront trend are:

  • An android version of the app since it is currently only available to IOS users.
  • Creator monetisation in the form of ‘subscriptions, tipping, or ticket sales’ and a ‘Creator Grant Program’ used to “support emerging Clubhouse creators.”
  • More advanced tools to help with abuse.
